I liked how you just stopped short in the first scenario of suggesting that an assassination could be arranged by Vance :P
I think the main thing is that the people behind Project 2025 needed Trump to win the election. But after he has won, it's not clear they need him. Even he tries to pull something dodgy and remain in power, he might not be up to it health-wise (then again, dictators do seem to live long - the old adage about how God takes those He loves to Himself first and all that....). To that end, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a sixth scenario where Trump is ruled unfit to lead due to health concerns and sent out to pasture forcibly (using some obscure precedent where this was done to Senator R.B. Burbridge in 1853 or something like that, LOL). This would allow Vance to get in and start dismantling democracy, ready to have a "managed" election in 2028 :) Something along these lines, hehe:)
Very interesting theory Boris! Removing Trump for health reasons didn't even cross my mind but who knows how the next few years will play out!
I originally was going to go a bit more subtle with this article but ribbing Vance over his beard and university history was too good to pass up. And haha no I didn't quite claim that Vance would want Trump assassinated. That being said, it would be undeniably very good for him politically...
Incidentally, I think there was some post by some conservative saying that Vance was the first vice-president in 100 years with a beard... totally ignoring the fact that he is the first vice president to be married to a POC 😅
Especially since Usha was such a huge asset for the campaign! She was a brilliant campaign surrogate and did a great job of humanising Vance. There's a strong argument she swayed some all-important votes from Indian Americans. As you said, she's set to become the first person of color married to the Vice-President.
But yeah, let's talk about Vance's beard a bit more.😅
No assassination! Please. We don't want this person to be viewed as a martyr. We want him viewed as what he is - a tax and insurance fraudster, a fraudster in so many other areas of life, an adjudicated rapist and serial sexual predator that included underage girls, a Peeping Tom, an inveterate con man, and perhaps the world's most prolific liar.
It's a really interesting dillema for many voters, who believe Trump dying might be good for the country. However, I'd agree Carol, that it's far more likely to cement his legacy and allow people to brush over all the unsavoury aspects of his character.
100 percent! Although it would have been handy if Crooks hasn't missed as it would have been for someone else to come in that time.
If the "assassination by Project 2025 people" scenario does happen, I wonder if it will happen before the inauguration (not sure if Trump already has presidential level security or not)....
The typical security detail for a former President is about 90-100 agents though Trump received a significant boost following those assassination attempts and again once he became president-elect.
It's incredible that the first assassination attempt was nearly successful considering he had 100 secret service agents to protect him and just one shooter. I would be shocked (and very concerned) if anyone could pull off an assassination before his inauguration. But you're right Boris, you never know. And going with the scenario, some Project 2025 figures would likely have close access to Trump...
Hi Ellie, hope you're doing well. You're probably well aware that this article had an anti-Trump, pro-Democrat bias. My Substack is all about writing biased articles and labelling them as such (hence the name Biased Journalist and disclaimers throughout).
Personally, this is really beneficial as it forces me to adopt differing views to my own and argue them convincingly and subtly in biased articles. For my readers, the main goal is to prompt critical media consideration as readers will start to notice similarly misleading tactics in their own sources. It also allows people to consider what the 'other side' are reading and consider the narrative they're consuming. This is meant to prompt some more understanding around why people believe what they believe (which also allows you to argue better!)
Obviously, this article doesn't align with your worldview (I still think there's benefit in reading it). If you get a chance, I'd recommend my article on the post-election Democrat blame game.
"From whining progressives and hand-wringing moderates to an arrogant Biden, a lackluster Kamala, and a “knucklehead” VP pick—it was a perfect storm of Democratic missteps."
Leonard, thanks for your response. I totally get it, but we have, in my opinion, enough biased reporting as it is. This “biased” reporting just causes more anxiety, division and the spread of misinformation, on both sides! Nothing more unhelpful and possibly unhealthy as living in an echo-chamber, that’s why I read all sides. But overt bias has gotten us into this weird world. Maybe more truth and facts! 😉
Hi Ellie, that's awesome that you make a habit of reading all sides (I try to do the same but it can be difficult to weather). I guess my goal is to centralise all that and then demonstrate how easy it is to be two-faced and disingenuous (by writing whole-heartedly from completely contradictory points).
But I do agree with you - what the world needs is more truth and facts! Though a little of my "balance through bias" approach can't hurt either...
About that top picture from Butler, PA? How come there are 2 tracks of blood on Trump's face? One coming from the mouth, the other from the ear? Just a question...
Remember that huge gauze he draped over his entire ear for the GOP Convention?
Haha too right Carol, everything's a PR opportunity in politics. I also think the habit of MAGA fans wearing the ear bandages really fueled the argument that the movement is quite cult-like which worked against them (obviously not to a great extent looking back at the results).
Curious to hear which scenario you think is most likely—or if you’ve got a sixth one in mind!

Thanks for your time Ellie and I hope this makes a bit more sense.
